Eyelid correction with PlexR

If you are not yet ready for surgery but would like to do something about drooping eyelids, the PleXr is also an option. PlexR Soft Surgery works on the basis of plasma. This process “vaporizes” the top layer of skin, which has a shrinking effect on the skin, reducing wrinkles and tightening the skin. “Soft surgery” means that the treatment is performed without cutting, as is the case with surgery. A treatment with the PlexR therefore gives hardly any complications and is a possible alternative for those who fear surgery.

Eyelid correction with botox

With the injection of botox (muscle relaxant), we can manipulate the muscles in such a way that not only fewer wrinkles are formed, but there is also a lifting effect. This is because around the eye is the musculus orbicularis oculi that allows us to open and close the eye. Across the forehead runs the musculus frontalis that influences the position and movement of the eyebrows. Every muscle in our body causes movement in a certain direction and is always another muscle that controls the movement in exactly the other direction. With botox, we temporarily disrupt the nerve stimulus that triggers the muscle to tighten and relax. This allows us to influence the muscle tension in such a way that not only wrinkles around the eye are reduced, but also the eyebrows can be lifted.

Eyelid surgery without sutures

With a surgical eyelid correction, it is necessary to place sutures to close the wound. With eyelid surgery without surgery, this is obviously not necessary. This is because with eyelid surgery without surgery, no incision is made and the skin remains intact. However, depending on the type of treatment, redness, swelling or bruising may occur.

In a surgical eyelid correction, excess skin is cut away. With eyelid surgery without surgery, no excess skin is cut away. That makes treatment with PlexR or botox less effective for drooping eyelids and sagging eyebrows. Still, beautiful results can be treated without surgery. Eyelid surgery without surgery is particularly suitable for people who notice moderate or moderate (skin) aging around the eye. If there is a lot of excess skin, a surgical eyelid correction will give better results.
