The cheekbone or cheekbones refers to the upper part of the cheeks. The cheekbone is located at the front of the head, at the top of the cheek. The cheekbone largely determines the contour of the cheek. Generally, high cheekbones are considered aesthetically pleasing. With cheekbone fillers, we can elevator the cheekbone creating contour enhancement.
At Ivy clinics, we look at the proportions of the face. Our cosmetic doctors treat with the goal of achieving a beautiful, natural result. With cheekbone fillers, we use hyaluronic acid fillers or a collagen-stimulating filler such as Radiesse for this purpose.
Are you considering filler treatment of the cheekbone? You are welcome for a no-obligation consultation. Ivy clinics stands for honest advice, even if it means no treatment. Treatment by highly experienced doctors
Clinics in four citiesDuring the consultation, the cosmetic doctor will inform you about the treatment, results and possible complications. We find it important that you can make an informed decision and are therefore transparent about all pros and cons of a cosmetic treatment. We offer you ample opportunity to discuss your wishes and ask questions. The cosmetic doctor will make an analysis of your face and suggest an appropriate treatment. You are in no way obliged to proceed to treatment. Should you wish to undergo treatment, you can also schedule an appointment for treatment at a later time.
Treatment takes place in a treatment room at one of our locations. The treatment is performed by the cosmetic doctor with whom you had the consultation. Prior to the treatment, the doctor will go over the treatment plan with you again. The skin of the face will be cleaned (makeup removed) and disinfected. It is usually not necessary to numb the cheekbone beforehand. The filler is injected through a normal injection needle or a cannula (blunt, hollow needle). However, you may feel some pressure during the treatment.
A filler treatment of the cheekbone is a relatively simple treatment that does not require aftercare. However, it is smart to take it easy for the rest of the day; do not exercise and keep the head higher than the rest of the body to avoid pressure on the treated area. Pressure can make any swelling worse. In the days following treatment, avoid direct sunlight, the tanning bed and sauna. The cosmetic doctor will advise you on the best aftercare for a cheekbone filler after treatment.
Treatment with fillers is safe. Nevertheless, it is important to know that no cosmetic treatment is without risk. During the consultation, the cosmetic doctor will tell you in detail about possible complications. Normal side effects of filler treatment of the cheekbone are temporary swelling and bruising. Atypical reactions to filler treatments are also reported, but are exceptional.
