Lips can become thinner over time due to loss of volume. You may also have naturally less full lips. With lip filler treatment, we can add volume. At Ivy clinics, we treat lips with small amounts of filler. “Overfilling” the lips not only looks unnatural, it also increases the likelihood of migration of the filler. Therefore, at Ivy clinics, we treat with just enough filler to achieve a beautiful and natural result.
The doctor will always strive to achieve the right ratio between the upper and lower lip, and if desired, fine lines (called smoker’s lines) around the mouth can also be treated. An added benefit: hyaluronic acid is powerfully hydrating; goodbye dry lips!
Beautiful, full lips are seen as a sign of femininity. Ivy clinics is happy to help you with personalized advice in plumping your lips.
Ivy clinics stands for honest advice, even if that means no treatment needs to take place. Accessibility, quality and natural results are our most important core values. Would you like to have a free consultation with one of our doctors? Then sign up quickly for a free, no-obligation consultation.

Treatment by highly experienced doctors
Clinics in four citiesDuring a completely free intake consultation, your lips will be assessed and you will receive expert advice tailored to your needs. Together with the practitioner you will discuss your wishes and the amount of filler that best suits them. In general, a lot of hyaluronic acid in the lips is not at all necessary, often a very nice result can be achieved with less than 1 ml.
It is important that you fill out all your medical information in detail in the medical questionnaire before you visit, the practitioner will then go over these questions with you.
After discussing together what product and amount of hyaluronic acid will be used for treatment, you may sign the informed consent form and pictures will be taken for your records.
Your lips are numbed locally with a numbing cream. In most cases this takes away the sharp pain during the treatment. Immediately after the treatment your lips will look quite swollen, this is mainly due to the punctures. The swelling will last for several days. There may also be some blueness.
Treatment with fillers in the lips is safe. The doctors at Ivy clinics know well how to treat safely and always check for blood supply to the blood vessels after treatment.
Aftercare is basically not necessary. However, it is advisable to avoid extreme cold and heat, such as winter sports, tanning bed and sauna, for the first weeks after the treatment. The doctor will tell you more about this. Some clients experience more swelling than others; in those cases it is a good idea to cool down a few times. When in doubt about the swelling, please call the clinic or the emergency line (outside office hours).
Normal symptoms to consider are possible swelling or bruising at the site of injection.
In addition, a filler feels a bit harder in the first few weeks. The hyaluronic acid filler needs several weeks to attract moisture into settling properly, then the lips will fill in softly and smoothly.
If a lump can be felt unexpectedly contact the clinic. Often this is a subcutaneous hematoma so you should not massage it.
The results last for about 9 to 12 months.
