PolyPhil is a skin booster (formerly known as PhilArt), and is ideal for anyone looking to improve their skin. The PolyPhil line consists of PolyPhil, PolyPhil eye and PolyPhil next. The main ingredient in this line is polynucleotide (PDRN). These are the building blocks of DNA, and are derived from salmon trout. Polynucleotides act on the body’s own regenerative capacity and fall under regenerative cosmetic medicine.
The polynucleotides in PolyPhil stimulate fibroblasts. These cells are responsible for the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. Collagen for firmness, elastin for elasticity and hyaluronic acid helps keep the skin hydrated. The treatment results in firmer skin, fewer fine lines and an overall improvement in skin quality. In addition, polynucleotides have antioxidant properties and reduce inflammation, making the treatment also suitable for sensitive skin.
Indications: normal and sensitive skin – neck, face, décolleté, hands, scars, (acne) scars.
The PolyPhil eye treatment is suitable for anyone who wants to improve the skin around the eyes. This treatment is also ideal for people with sensitive skin and those who cannot place a traditional filler under the eyes, due to fluid retention or fat accumulation under the eye. This is because PolyPhil eye does not attract water and therefore does not cause swelling like some other injectables.
Indications: eye contour, dark circles, fine lines.
The combination of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid and polynucleotides in PolyPhil next improves the skin in several ways. The polynucleotides stimulate fibroblasts, which promotes the production of collagen and elastin and creates firmer and more elastic skin. The hyaluronic acid intensely hydrates by retaining moisture. This treatment gives your skin an intensive boost.
Indications: 40+ skin and/or dehydrated skin – neck, face, décolleté, hands, scars, (acne) scars.
The PolyPhil treatments are suitable for anyone who wants to improve the quality of their skin and for people who want to improve specific skin problems, such as fine lines, dry or dull skin, acne scars, sagging skin and skin aging. The PolyPhil Eye treatment additionally reduces dark circles and fine lines under the eye.
At Ivy clinics, we believe it is important that you are well informed. During a no-obligation consultation, we discuss in detail the PolyPhil treatment, the expected results, the costs and possible side effects. Alternative treatments are also discussed so that you can make an informed choice.
During the consultation, there is of course plenty of room to ask your questions. The doctor will take the time to answer them. If you like, you can bring someone with you to the consultation or record the conversation on your phone so you can listen to it again later. The consultation is free of charge and without obligation. The consultation in no way obliges you to proceed to treatment. Of course there is time for treatment if you wish.
During the treatment, small amounts of PolyPhil are injected into the skin with a fine needle. This is done in a controlled manner so that the product is well distributed. Several small injections are given into the middle layer of skin, a technique known as mesotherapy. The treatment takes on average 20 minutes and is not very painful, only the pricks you feel for a while; we can apply a numbing cream beforehand if you like.
Recovery is minimal; slight swelling at the injection points or bruising may occur, but usually disappear within a few days. You can resume your daily activities almost immediately.
There are a few things to consider after treatment, though. It is important that you observe the following aftercare advice:
Treatment with PolyPhil is safe and generally well tolerated, especially since the product is specifically designed for the sensitive skin around the eyes. Still, as with any injectable treatment, side effects can occur. The most common side effects are:
These side effects are usually mild in nature and usually disappear within a few days of treatment. Serious complications are rare. Because PolyPhil does not attract water like traditional fillers, the risk of swelling or accumulation of fluid is low. The product is vo
