The treatment takes place in a treatment room at one of our locations. For the treatment you will take place on a treatment chair, depending on the indication it will be sitting or lying down. The area to be treated will be bared, but otherwise you can keep your clothes on.
The skin of the area to be treated will be disinfected and a specially designed grid will be used to determine where the hyaluronic acid will be injected. To inject Profhilo Body, we use an ordinary injection needle or a cannula (hollow, blunt needle).
The product is introduced into the skin with 10 injections. The treatment is not completely painless, but because it is a short treatment with relatively few punctures, numbing is not necessary. The treatment itself takes about 15 minutes.
Immediately after the treatment, the Profhilo® Figura Body Patch is applied. This is a special patch that provides extra hydration and supports recovery from the treatment. The patch contains hyaluronic acid for extra hydration, Salvia Haenkei that acts as an antioxidant, Arnica that soothes the skin and bromelain (pineapple extract) that helps prevent swelling.
After 2 to 3 hours, you can remove the patch. Then, it is recommended to lightly massage the treated area daily with the Profhilo Figura Body Cream. Avoid direct sunlight and the sauna for the first few days after treatment.
As with any cosmetic procedure, this treatment has a small risk of complications. The possible side effects of treatment with Profhilo Body are (mild) swelling, redness and bruising.
During the intake interview, the doctor will go over all possible risks and complications with you.
Depending on the indication and desired result, the treatment is ideally repeated after 4 weeks. Because this treatment calls on collagen and elastin production, the final result is not immediately visible. The production of collagen and elastin takes 28 days.
Significant results can be expected between 4 and 6 weeks after treatment. However, the skin is better hydrated immediately after treatment and wearing the patch.
