What are skin blemishes?
Skin blemishes are benign spots or bumps that do not cause harm, but are often perceived as cosmetically distracting. As we age, the likelihood of various types of blemishes increases, such as age-related warts, fibromas, angiomas, xanthelasma and birthmarks. They appear mainly on the face, neck, décolletage, back, armpits and under the breasts. Some people experience physical discomfort such as itching or irritation, which can also affect their daily functioning. In addition, scientific research shows that skin lesions – can also affect quality of life. It can make people feel insecure and ashamed, especially if the patches are very visible.
