Injectables are treatments performed with an injection. Ivy clinics offers various injectables for such things as younger looking skin, wrinkle treatment, liquid facelift and as a treatment against such things as teeth grinding.

Safe and effective injectables
Treatment by highly experienced doctors
Clinics in four citiesIvy clinics stands for natural results. This is described in detail in our core values.
And we even offer a 100% natural result guarantee. An expressionless or unnatural-looking effect is absolutely out of place. When applied correctly and with the right amounts of injectables, you just look a little younger and more rested. Not unnatural or expressionless.
A filler treatment is immediately visible. However, there may be some swelling for a few days which can slightly affect the effect of your filler. Botulinum toxin starts working after 3-5 days. And on day 14 botulinum toxin works optimally.
After 14 days, you are therefore welcome for a free touch up treatment if your botox has not yet helped enough. However, this is almost never the case. But sometimes a person needs more botulinum toxin than average.
A post-treatment with fillers is not free because you just have to pay for an additional syringe of fillers. There is some confusion about this. You have to give a filler 4-6 weeks to do its work. This is because a hyaluronic acid filler attracts moisture so the result becomes more and more beautiful in the first weeks.
In the Netherlands you can only have injectable treatments from the age of 18 and older, and in general there is not much skin aging yet under the age of 25. Some younger girls do get bothered by thinner lips or puffiness, and then we at Ivy clinics can certainly fix this in a gentle way without using too many products.
Starting botox on time does always make sense because with botox, prevention is better than cure. A good time is when you can just start to see the first lines in your crow’s feet, frown or forehead. These are then still good to treat with botox. When a wrinkle is deep into the skin, which is often seen at a later age, it is no longer possible to remove the wrinkle with botox alone.
When you are young it also always pays to invest in the health of your skin with simple laser treatments, peelings, Hydrafacial, connective tissue massages or good masks. Our cosmetic consultants will be happy to explain all about it.
Ivy clinics offers botox treatments and filler treatments. We work with several brands that we always have on the shelf.
Below is an overview of the different areas that can be treated.
Botox works for an average of 4 months. In one person it works a little longer but it can certainly work a little shorter. Unfortunately we have no influence on this. In general, injecting more units makes no sense, it will not stay longer. There is some kind of limit. However, too few units (half a zone or baby botox) can cause a shorter result.
Fillers work for an average of one year. Fillers that are injected deep into the bone often work longer than a year-for example, the cheek bones and under the eyes, or in the nose. Fillers around the mouth, or in lips or in cheeks work a bit shorter on average. These fillers cannot be injected as deep so the doctor must also choose a less thick filler. In addition, there is a lot of movement in these areas due to talking and laughing, which causes a filler to be broken down a little faster.
Every injection you feel. Some people find treatment with botox more painful and others find treatment with fillers more painful.
In any case, we always try to make the pain experience as pleasant as possible by using anesthetic cream or a dental block (numbing the nerves around the mouth, for example).
After treatment with botox and fillers, we recommend avoiding extreme heat and extreme cold for at least a good week.
Also, contact sports such as boxing are obviously not very useful immediately after treatment. If you have a specific question about this, feel free to discuss it with the doctor.
In general, you can say that treatments with botox and temporary fillers (not permanent fillers) are very safe because so much experience has been gained over the past decades. What is important is that the doctor understands the anatomy of the face and does not go near important vessels and/or nerves. What is also important is that no very large amounts are injected at one time.
Should you notice redness, weird blisters, soreness or other discoloration of the skin after a filler treatment, please call Ivy clinics’ emergency number, at 088 800 76 54, and select option 1 for emergency.
Smoker’s lines (also called bar lines) are vertical lines around the mouth. Smoker’s lines can create an older-looking face. However, the lines can be well softened with filler treatment.
Sometimes we complement the filler treatment with a pinch of botox to achieve the best results. In addition, we can also treat deeper lines or scars in the area of the upper lip with a phenol peel, with CO2 laser or a PlexR plasma treatment. Treating smoker’s lines can usually be done in one treatment. The result is immediately visible and lasts for 9 to 12 months.
Marionette lines are the lines or wrinkles that run down from the corners of your mouth. As you age, your skin and tissue lose volume and marionette lines become more and more apparent.
However, marionette lines are fairly easy to treat with a temporary filler. Treating marionette lines can usually be done in one treatment. The result is immediately visible and present for about 12 months.
The cheekbones give your face radiance and define the contours of your face. As you age, your subcutaneous fat tissue diminishes and may even disappear.
We can solve this very easily by injecting some fillers deep on the bone of your cheekbone. This brings your natural layers of fat back to the fore. Exactly as it was a few years ago. Treating the cheekbones can usually be done in one treatment, this depends on the desired volume. The result is immediately visible and lasts about 12-18 months.
With regard to puffiness, a comprehensive consultation is really very important. We can treat puffiness with fillers when there is volume loss. But we can also do a surgical lower eyelid correction with or without moving the muscles (the latter is called a canthopexy).
And sometimes we also use a CO2 laser or a PlexR treatment. A bit of botox around the eyes can sometimes have some effect. If you are bothered by your puffiness, a free, no-obligation consultation is really crucial. We are happy to help you make a suitable choice.
We use Botox (botulinum toxin type A) specifically to treat frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles and wrinkles around the mouth (we can give the chin a little more rest or the muscles that pull the corners of the mouth down).
You can also use botox well for bunnylines (the wrinkles next to your nose), or the gummy smile (too many visible gums when you smile).
A lot of things are also possible with fillers. We explain some of the options a little better:
Cheekbones
The cheekbones give your face radiance and define the contours of your face. As you age, your subcutaneous fatty tissue diminishes and may even disappear. We can solve this very easily by injecting some fillers deep into the bone of your cheekbone.
This brings your natural layers of fat back to the fore. Exactly as it was a few years ago. Treating the cheekbones can usually be done in one treatment, this depends on the desired volume. The result is immediately visible and remains around 12-18 months.
Chin and jawline
During aging, the skin loses its volume and elasticity and, as a result, it can start to droop in several areas. Two of those places are the jawline and chin, areas that actually shape the face. With fillers, we can counteract the loss of volume in your skin and the jawline.
Depending on the degree of volume loss, we use a calcium hydroxylapatite-based (Radiesse) or hyaluronic acid-based filler for this. Treating the chin and jawline can usually be done in one treatment. Depending on the filler used, the result remains visible for about 12 to 18 months.
Lips
Many women are insecure about their lips. Often because they find them too narrow or asymmetrical. Do you want more volume in your lips or to give them more contour?
Our doctors are happy to create a personalized treatment plan with you so that we can naturally add shape to the lips. Treating the lips can usually be done in one treatment, this depends on the desired volume. The result is immediately visible and remains for 6 to 12 months.
Marionette Lines
Marionette lines are the lines or wrinkles that run down from the corners of your mouth. As you age, your skin and tissue lose volume and marionette lines become more and more apparent. However, marionette lines are fairly easy to treat with a temporary filler. Treating marionette lines can usually be done in one treatment. The result is immediately visible and present for about 12 months.
Mouth corners
Drooping corners of the mouth can be present from birth. In addition, like the jawline and cheekbones, for example, they can also droop during aging. This can give a sad or angry appearance.
However, drooping corners of the mouth are quite treatable. The muscles that cause this can be treated with botulinum toxin. This causes the corners of the mouth to rise more and no longer hang down. In most cases, we recommend combining this treatment with a filler to give the corners of the mouth an extra elevator.
The corners of the mouth can generally be treated in one treatment. Results are visible after about 5 days and remain for 6 to 12 months.
Nasal lip fold
The nasolabial fold is the wrinkles that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth. The nasolabial fold can create an older appearance, but can also give a bored or tired look.
As you age, the nasolabial fold becomes deeper and more noticeable. With filler treatment, your nasolabial fold can be easily addressed. We can soften nasolabial folds while fully preserving your own facial appearance.
In addition, you can choose to tighten the nasolabial fold from the cheekbones by also giving the cheekbones a little more volume, this then creates an elevator of the cheekbone which automatically also has an effect on the nasolabial fold. Treating the nasolabial fold can usually be done in one treatment, depending on the desired volume. The result is immediately visible and remains for 12 to 18 months.
Earlobes
Have your earlobes become too thin, are they drooping or do you have stretched earring holes? We will gladly advise you about the possibilities.
Your earlobes are easily treated with a filler. With this we easily fill wrinkles, scars or thin skin. If there is excess skin, or a torn out hole, a surgical earlobe correction or earlobe reduction can also be scheduled. Treating the earlobes with a filler can usually be done in one treatment. The results are immediately visible and last approximately 12 to 24 months.
Smoking lines
Smoker’s lines (also called bar lines) are vertical lines around the mouth. Smoker’s lines can create an older-looking face. However, the lines are great for softening with filler treatment.
Volume treatment
A volume treatment with fillers is also called a non-surgical facelift or a liquid facelift. The treatment of wrinkles, facial folds or sagging skin involves a combination of fillers and skin boosters (which are actually also fillers, these don’t give volume but do give skin improvement).
By strategically adjusting certain facial pain points such as the puffiness, cheekbones, jawline and chin, for example, you will look younger and more rested in a very natural way.
For optimal results, you can combine the treatment with a laser treatment or a peel. This will also treat fine lines and stimulate the production of collagen in your skin. Together with your doctor you will discuss the best treatment for your needs.
Cheeks
As you age, the fatty tissue in your cheeks diminishes. As a result, the tissue sags or even disappears. This can be the cause of a deep nasolabial fold, so-called hamster cheeks or a tired face. The best and simplest way to address this is with a temporary filler.
Treating the cheeks can usually be done in one treatment, depending on the volume desired. The result is immediately visible and remains for 9 to 12 months.
Do you have questions about whether fillers are right for you and where best to place them? We would be happy to explain in a free, no-obligation consultation.
