Laser treatments

Laser treatment is a broad term. There are different lasers, each serving its own purpose. But if you suffer from scars, hyperpigmentation, red vessels or aging skin, treatment with a laser or an energy-based device (EDB) can help.

A general effect of a laser is collagen stimulation in the skin. This means that every laser treatment (indirectly) realizes skin rejuvenation. The Youlaser MT is a hybrid laser that not only rejuvenates the skin but also improves it. This laser has a hybrid function and combines both a CO2 laser and a 540 nm laser which together provide skin tightening in the skin and skin improvement on the outside of the skin.

In addition, Ivy clinics has a MAGMA laser. This laser combines 3 different laser techniques: IPL, Diode, and NdYag. With these lasers, or a combination of them, we can treat as many as 20 different skin conditions such as vessels on the face or body, smoothing the skin by removing pigmentation, and of course laser hair removal. A nice combination of treatments with this laser is the Renaissance treatment. This treatment combines the NdYag with the IPL which stimulates collagen deep in the skin and also brings pigment to the surface, all without downtime.

Ivy clinics’ Spark Pro lasers combine two techniques, IPL and Diode. With these lasers we can remove hair, vessels and pigmentation. In addition to hair removal, skin rejuvenation with these lasers is also very popular, also called PHOTO rejuvenation. With this type of laser, all irregularities in the face are addressed for an even complexion and a fresh glow.

For people with stubborn acne scars, we also have the eMatrix, a radio frequency-based laser that is also ideally suited for darker skin without the possibility of pigmentation damage.

Which laser suits your needs will be discussed with you during an informative consultation. Because the range of lasers and laser techniques is so wide, we always advise you to discuss your wishes with our laser specialists before scheduling a treatment. They can indicate exactly what you can expect from a treatment, the approximate number of treatments needed and what you can do yourself in terms of aftercare. Read more about our laser treatments in the menu under MAGMA laser, CO2 laser, Spark Pro laser and eMatrix laser.

Frequently Asked Questions

What laser treatments does Ivy offer?

Ivy clinics has many different types of equipment. Laser is a collective term for various skin treatments in the corridors even though not all treatments actually fall under laser treatments.

Ivy clinics has many different types of laser(CO2, 1540nm, NdYag, Diode, radio frequency, HIFU, lipolaser, IPL, PlexR).

Are laser treatments reimbursed?

Some skin therapy treatments are reimbursed under specific conditions. Inquire with your health insurance company about the possibilities.

Which laser treatment is suitable for hair removal?

Ivy clinics has a laser platform with several lasers. This means we can always offer the greatest chance of success. For example, where other salons or clinics only offer IPL or only Diode, we have a device with multiple options.

We are happy to explain:

The most we work with is the diode 808nm laser. This laser is the gold standard in laser hair removal and works best on coarse and dark hairs. This laser contains five different modes. The difference in this is that one mode gives off more energy than the other. This difference in energy allows us to treat even dark skin types (fitzpatrick V and VI) safely and effectively.

For the somewhat lighter and thinner hairs, we used the IPL. These hairs are a little more superficial in the skin and we can better address them through the broad spectrum of the IPL. Furthermore, the IPL works the same as the diode. Again, the melanin is heated and the hair follicle is destroyed.

Then for the somewhat stubborn hairs, we have the Nd:YAG 1064nm. This laser is originally a vascular laser. In this treatment, the blood vessel that provides nutrition to the hair is lasered away. As a result, the hair will no longer be able to grow and will disappear.

We are happy to advise in a personal consultation which laser or combinations of lasers is best for your problem.

Does laser treatment hurt?

Some laser treatments hurt more than others. We make every effort to make any pain experience as pleasant as possible such as by using cooling or anesthetic cream.
