The Spark Pro laser is a device which features two different laser systems, an IPL and an 808 nm Diode laser. These are the most sought after technologies in the field of laser & light and are also known as the gold standard.
With this laser, we can treat more than 20 different skin conditions and skin problems. Fast, safe and effective and in most cases with little to no downtime, or recovery time. Our laser specialists can give you completely customized advice on which treatment can give your skin a real boost.
What can we do with the Spark Pro laser?
With the exception of permanent hair removal, almost all treatments fall under “photo rejuvenation,” or making your skin so strong, healthy and even that you look like you’ve used a filter. This is because healthy skin has no visible (and invisible) skin damage such as spots, blemishes or vessels.
In a no-obligation consultation, our skin specialists can explain to you exactly which options are ideal for improving and maintaining your skin.

Treatment by highly experienced doctors
Clinics in four citiesDuring a no-obligation consultation, the skin specialist carefully assesses your skin for the presence of vessels, pigmentation, redness and other forms of skin damage. Based on this, you will receive a personal customized advice.
Based on the skin analysis, the skin specialist will discuss all options with you. Of course there is every opportunity to ask questions about the treatments and aftercare. In many cases it is advisable to use the right products at home to get and keep your skin in a healthy condition.
Permanent hair removal
Because laser hair removal with us is a customized treatment, there are many different options available with the treatment. Below we will therefore explain the global treatment.
In laser hair removal, we target the pigment in a hair. This pigment is called melanin and has a dark color. The laser beam heats the melanin in the hair. This destroys the hair follicle and the hair will disappear and not grow back.
The most we work with is the diode 808nm laser.
This laser is the gold standard in laser hair removal and works best on coarse and dark hairs. This laser contains five different settings. The difference in this is that one setting gives off more energy than the other. This difference in energy allows us to treat even dark skin types (fitzpatrick V and VI) safely and effectively.
For the somewhat lighter and thinner hairs, we used the IPL. These hairs are a little more superficial in the skin and we can better address them through the broad spectrum of the IPL. Furthermore, the IPL works the same as the diode. Again, the melanin is heated and the hair follicle is destroyed.
Then for the somewhat stubborn hairs, we have the Nd:YAG 1064nm. This laser is originally a vascular laser. In this treatment, the blood vessel that provides nutrition to the hair is lasered away. This prevents the hair from growing and the hair will no longer be visible.
During treatment, the treatment area is first completely prepared. This includes disinfecting, marking and shaving the skin if necessary. Then the specialist determines your skin type and the laser is set to your personal settings. After this, a layer of gel is applied to the skin and the specialist begins the treatment.
The handpiece of the laser has a cooling element. This makes the treatment as pleasant as possible. Because of the different types of skins, hairs and positions, the experience is very different for each patient. Often the treatment can be compared to small rubber bands shooting against the skin.
Permanent laser hair removal always requires several treatments. This is because hairs have different growth phases. But at 1 of these phases it is possible to remove the hair permanently. Therefore, on average between 8 to 10 treatments are required.
Pigmentation spot removal
During the treatment, the skin specialist will determine your skin type. Based on this, the IPL laser is set with exactly the settings appropriate for you. A layer of gel will be applied and the skin specialist will treat the skin in a stamping manner. With each stamp, a flash of light is emitted that targets the pigment.
The treatment takes an average of 5-30 minutes and is performed every 4-6 weeks. It takes an average of 1-3 treatments to achieve the desired results. After treatment, slight redness is present for approximately 1-2 days. The IPL does not cause any other downtime. However, pigment spots may be temporarily slightly more visible because they come to the surface before showing as a very thin crust. This falls off and an even skin appears. This treatment can be used on the whole body, think of the hands, the cleavage or neck.
Removing vessels
The skin specialist locates the area to be treated. A layer of gel is applied and the skin specialist treats the skin in a stamping manner. With each stamp, a flash of light or laser beam is emitted that heats the vessel and makes it disappear. Shortly after the treatment, the vessels will be more intense in color and more noticeable. After 6 weeks, the results will be optimal and many vessels will be reduced or disappear.
On average, it takes 1 to 5 treatments to achieve the desired results.
Acne Vulgaris Removal
The skin specialist locates the area to be treated. A layer of gel is applied and the IPL handpiece is placed over the skin in a stamping fashion. You can expect some heat in the skin which in some areas can be compared to a rubber band pushing against the skin.
Usually a course of 8 treatments is required for the desired results. On average, the treatment is performed once every 2 weeks. The skin will look better and calm down, however, the cause of the acne is not addressed. As a result, the acne may return after the treatments are stopped. However, maintenance treatments are possible to keep the acne calm and under control.

Complications can always occur and unfortunately are not always predictable. Ivy clinics is available 24/7 to handle emergency questions and during weekdays we are readily available by app, email and phone.
Nevertheless, it is important to be well-informed about any complications so you know what is involved and when to sound the alarm. Below is a summary:
Rare cases:

Filters are frequently used on social media, but really healthy skin doesn’t need a filter at all. Therefore, opt for treatment with our IPL laser. A full face IPL laser will make pigmentation spots that have appeared over the years due to sun damage disappear like snow in the sun. The result is an even and fresh looking skin.
The IPL laser gives fast visible results as the intense pulse lights penetrate deep into the collagen strands to provide cell regeneration. IPL works very well against:
For best results, we recommend 2-3 full face IPL treatments for the perfect photo rejuvenation. This definitely belongs in a thorough anti-aging plan and prevents the skin from aging faster and faster. The nice thing about this treatment is that there is no downtime and your skin immediately gets a healthy glow.
PS: be sure not to forget the hands, cleavage or neck as well….
Do you also suffer so much from ingrown hairs, stinging skin or irritation. Are you also completely done with shaving, tweezing and waxing? Then Ivy clinics now has the solution. Our Spark Pro lasers can treat almost all skin types and permanently remove almost all types of hair.
Our Spark Pro laser features a diode laser that is the gold standard in permanent laser hair removal. It also contains an IPL which again works better on the lighter and thinner hairs.
Permanent laser hair removal requires between 6 to 8 treatments. Laser treatment is performed every 4 or 6 weeks. So ditch those razors, wax strips and epilators and opt for the Spark Pro laser.

Pigment is the skin’s natural protection against the sun. However, UV radiation from the sun can cause the skin to become damaged and pigment to accumulate in the skin. This causes pigment spots to appear. These brown spots are often very superficial in the skin and we can very nicely flash them away with an IPL.
What can we treat with IPL?
Age spots and superficial pigmentation spots
What can’t we treat with IPL?
Hormone-related pigmentation spots
Elevated pigmented spots
For pigment that is not suitable to treat with IPL, we have other good treatment options such as ME-line or PlexR plasma treatments. Ask our skin therapist for advice!
Small fine vessels on the face sometimes cause diffuse redness that makes the skin look lacking in freshness and vitality.
These vessels can sometimes be caused by rosacea or other factors. With the Spark Pro laser, you can treat these vessels with Intense Pulse Light which causes the vessel walls to close and the vessel to be cleared by the body.
Small vessels can cause facial redness that is not always desirable. Fortunately, our lasers are ideally suited to safely and effectively eliminate vessels.

Better known as juvenile pimples. This unfortunately occurs in many people of all different ages. A pimple is caused by a clogged sebaceous gland. These sebaceous glands are mainly found on the face, chest and back. Therefore, these are the preferred sites for Acne Vulgaris. Due to excessive sebum production, androgen hormones and the P. Acnes bacteria, a sebaceous gland becomes blocked and a pimple develops.
Fortunately, through IPL treatments, we can kill P. Acnes bacteria, inhibit excessive sebum production and reduce skin redness.
