In an earlobe reduction, the doctor determines, with you, how much needs to be removed. The ear is cleaned with a disinfectant. This is followed by anesthesia. The doctor cuts open the marked piece of skin and then sutures the wound edges together using a special suturing technique.
After 8 to 10 days, the sutures are removed. 3 months after the procedure, we will see you again for follow-up check-ups.
Surgical earlobe reduction is a relatively simple surgical procedure and is performed by a highly experienced cosmetic doctor.
To promote proper healing, it is advisable to take it easy for the first few days. Keep the wound dry and if desired you may take paracetamol. For the first 6 weeks, grease the ears with at least an SPF 50 sun protection. This after the stitches are removed.
After six months, you can have holes in your ears (again).
